An Apology & An Update

So first off, I want to apologize for missing Watcha Playin’? this week. With work, freelance, and all the big happenings with Slay, time just got away from me, and I didn’t even have time to play something to write about. I was hoping I could pull it together, but I just couldn’t. So I’m really sorry.
Okay, now onto the update. Some changes are coming to both the Patreon, and the blog in general. Going forward, Watcha Playin’ is going to be a Patreon exclusive. This is because I’ve been realizing that as a creator, I don’t do super well with nothing but serialized content. Writing for OkBeast this past week helped me remember what this blog originally was for: me writing the things I wanted to write, when I wanted to write them. Doing this solo, and having other projects out there just doesn’t give me the bandwith to make serialized content, and trying to force myself to write and create that way has led to some major burn-out on my end. So Watcha Playin’? will become an exclusive and will post whenever I play something new and have thoughts on it. I’m going to try to have something for it pretty regularly, but I want it to feel more natural and organic, as well as fitting with my schedule and accommodating me actually playing something.
Games You Might Have Missed will still exist, but will only come out twice a month. This won’t be the case for the remainder of this month, because of Slay stuff, and also the upcoming Pride stuff I’ll be doing. The Pride stuff includes two really cool written features I’ve been working on, and 3 days worth of streaming some cool queer games from 6/20-6/22.
Adventure Log will be sticking to its monthly schedule, and June’s bonus content will be out on Wednesday, 6/20, followed by the early release of July’s episode on Sunday, 6/24.
Everything else on the blog is going to come at my own pace. I have a few cool features on the back burner, and I’m working on integrating more streaming in general to mix up the content. I think these changes are necessary for me to start making stuff I’m proud of again, and to keep me from completely burning out. Hopefully, this is all amendable to you all as well.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions, feel free to let me know. I love you all, and really, really appreciate your support.
