Uppercut’s Ultimate Ooblets Guide

Ooblets is finally out in its 1.0 form. Whether you’ve been on this funky little train throughout early access, are coming back to it, or are brand new, there are a few things that may not be obvious while you play. To help with that, we’ve assembled the most comprehensive guide we could to the world of Ooblets.

How to make pompadoot juice in Ooblets

Required materials:

  • Pompadoots (8 gummies each at Meeds Seeds)
  • Swooshler (50 Wishies at the Wishywell)
  • Pompadoot juice recipe (50 Wishies at the Wishywell)

To make pompadoot juice, you first need to hit up the Wishywell. You’ll need at least 100 Wishies to unlock the pompadoot juice recipe and the swooshler recipe. You’ll also need to buy the expansion to Meeds Seeds that adds pompadoot seeds to her inventory. With seeds and recipes in hand, follow these steps:

  • Craft a swooshler at Manatwee
  • Plant and harvest a crop of pompadoots
  • Set up your swooshler on the farm and assign an ooblet to it
  • Add pompadoots to the swooshler
  • Wait and collect your juice when it’s done

How to make beanjuice in Ooblets

Beanjuice is the Ooblets version of coffee, and becomes very useful for both regenerating energy and trading with NPCs. But making it is a bit of a process, one that may not be immediately obvious. So, here’s how you make bean juice in Ooblets:

Required materials:

  • Springbeans (6 gummies each at Meeds Seeds)
  • Cruncher
  • Ground springbean recipe (50 Wishes at the Wishywell)
  • Beanjuice recipe
  • Kettle and Cup (1500 gummies at Cuddlecups)

To make beanjuice in Ooblets, you need to have a lot of Wishies. These are collected by completing daily tasks, Tinstle tasks, or other story events. You’ll need these Wishies to purchase the multiple recipes required to brew beanjuice, which include both ground springbeans and beanjuice. You will also need Wishies to purchase the expansion to Meeds Seeds that allows you to buy springbean seeds in the first place.

Once you have all of these materials and recipes, follow these steps:

  • Plant and harvest a crop of springbeans
  • Place the springbeans in your crunchster and assign an Ooblet to grind them
  • Take the ground springbeans to your cooking area and select the Kettle and Cup
  • Choose the ground springbeans and get brewing

How to get Wishies in Ooblets

Wishies are the collectible, star-shaped currency used to purchase items from the Wishywell. Like many of the collectibles in Ooblets, there are a few ways to gather Wishies:

  • Complete Tinstle Tasks for Mayor Tinstle
  • Complete daily tasks
  • Win dance battles at the dance barn tournaments

How to get oobsidian in Ooblets

Oobsidian is a very valuable resource in Ooblets. You’ll need it to craft and upgrade oobcoops, and various other projects that are vital to your progression. Luckily, there are also several ways to harvest this material.

Smash rocks

This is going to be the primary way to get oobsidian during the early game, as the most plentiful resource on your farm during this stage is rocks. It’s not super common, but every so often a smashed rock will yield oobsidian instead of or alongside the usual nurnies.

Uncommon/Gleamy Ooblets

Once you have at least one oobcoop set up on your farm, you can leave behind Ooblets who will do chores on your farm. If you leave behind your Uncommon or Gleamy Ooblets, they’ll find oobsidian and leave it for you every once in a while.

If you’re in a pinch and have some Wishies to spare, you can buy oobsidian from the Wishywell in the center of Badgetown for 100 Wishies each.

Ooblets vacation spot

Every now and then, messages in bottles will wash up on the beach in Badgetown. These messages are invitations to an island where ooblets go to chill out and vacation. The island also has a ton of nurnies and oobsidian lying around that you’re free to collect when you visit.

Where to find the Pantsbear Hill relic pieces

To access the Oobnet tower in Pantsbear Hill, you’ll need to return all of the missing pieces of the area’s ancient relic. One of these you already should have, as you need it to access this area. (To find this first piece in Badgetown, check Mayor Tinstle’s office in the town hall.)

All but one of the remaining pieces can be won from residents of Pantsbear Hill through dance battles. The other piece is hidden inside a stone maze to the left of your balloon. The walls of this maze are weird and have gaps you can slip through, which is how you can ultimately reach the final relic piece. Once you have all of them, return to the relic on the hill and deposit them to get into the Oobnet tower.

Dance battle materials

If you want to add a new species of Ooblet to your roster, you’ll need to defeat one of that species in a dance battle first.
