Welcome to YGGP’s 2018 Year in Review
Another year is coming to a close, which means it’s time for gaming sites big and small to discuss and debate their favorite games from the year. This is my second year dealing with end of the year coverage and I’ve been struggling to decide how I wanted to approach it. While I enjoyed last year’s lists of favorite characters, locations, etc. it didn’t seem like the right fit. The website and I have both grown a lot in the last year, so I wanted to do something that could really showcase that growth.
After reading Waypoint’s letter series on Red Dead Redemption 2, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. There won’t be any lists this year, or any arguing about which game came out on top in any given category. Instead, myself and some very special guests will be writing letters about the games of 2018. Some will go back and forth between myself and a guest as we work through our feelings on a game. The rest will be single-writer love letters exploring the triumphs and pitfalls of our favorite 2018 titles.
We’ve all been working hard to get these letters out and make them the best they can be. Each guest is amazing, and their work will hopefully excite, surprise and challenge you. So without further ado, please sit back and enjoy Your Geeky Gal Pal’s 2018 Year in Review Letter Series.
